Tip #1: Washing Machines

Tip #1: Washing machine hoses

Down here in south Georgia, we have what we like to affectionately call “dirty water”. There is so much sediment that sits in our water that can easily clog hoses, pumps, and filters of all strengths and varieties. To keep the water flowing into your washing machine, make sure you look at your hoses at least twice a year to check and clean the filters to keep all of that sediment out. With how sediment-rich some of the areas down here are, some may benefit from checking every four months instead of every six to help maintain a clear water flow from your valve to your machine.

Unfortunately, if you go too long without cleaning your hoses, sediment can get trapped in the inlet valve on the machine and cause a larger problem that an appliance technician may have to examine and repair.
